You guys, April has been soo eventful!
For starters, we took full advantage of the good weather we had this month. Branch Brook Park near our home had a few events going on in celebration of Easter and their annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Vincent was able to really enjoy the playground as well. He tried out the swings for the first time and was so fascinated by everything going on around him. It was so precious to watch and experience. We definitely appreciated the time we had to get out as a family and soak up the warmth. We were able to take some really nice pictures. Some of you may have seen them on our Instagram and Facebook page. They’re also here on the websites main page in the banner section.

Aside from getting out and enjoying the weather, somebody officially started walking on his own! That’s right! On April 22, 2019, at 13 months, Vincent slid off of my lap and just walked over to his toys. I was sooo excited, shocked and proud all at the same time loll. He’s been able to walk with assistance and cruise around on the furniture. He also has the sit to stand walker that his uncle was able to get from family friends. But he really never took much interest in serious walking. You know when someone can do something and they’re simply choosing not to? We always said he fell a couple times too hard and wasn’t about to get caught slipping again. Plus, he has always gotten around much faster by crawling and he knew that. Even when we would hold his hand to walk, he would let go and speed off, creeping away loll
Since last week Monday, he has grown more confident in his walking. We can see him using it as his preferred method of getting around more and more with each passing day. (Here comes trouble loll) All jokes aside, it is truly a joy watching him grow and develop and it’s happening so very quickly.
Oh! Can I also tell you how I dropped my baby, my little Munch, my prince off at daycare and he just dipped off on me. I cried a couple real tears man, I won’t even lie. He just went to the toys and looked at me like “Well, I love you but you see these toys?” I said, “bye Vincent, I’ll see you later”— nothing. “I love you” — nothing. “Have a good day” (I’m blowing kisses now) He just kept looking at me and looking at the toys like “Well, okays later”. Loll he was just born the other day! How do I freeze time? Just for a quick second loll

This month we also celebrated our first year of marriage. Wow! The year went by so quickly.
To celebrate we had dinner at Chili’s and saw the Avengers: Endgame on Fri night. On Saturday we spent the day in Hoboken, NJ. Thanks to Vincy’s godmothers we were able to spend the night in an Air B&B. Can I say how weird it was being away from our baby overnight? I mean both of us, at the same time lol. In the past he’s always been with one of us but this time, mommy and daddy were both away.
It was definitely time that we needed. Andy and I actually hadn’t been out alone since my college married her high school sweetheart CJ in January 2018. (I was still pregnant then) It was definitely a freeing feeling as much as we missed Vincy. We ate, drank, slept without a baby between us loll and just enjoyed one another’s company. I got all glammed up, hair did, nails did, everything did & I sure was feeling myself loll
Our Air B&B was a nice little villa in an almost hidden neighborhood near Montclair, Jersey. It was our first time staying in one and since we went late at night the exterior was definitely creepy at first. Our Uber driver joked about it reminding her of a house in a scary movie loll. Thank God in the morning everything was much more inviting. Our host Julia was very accommodating with our arrival time and friendly. While we were technically only there for a few hours, the room was clean with an adjoined bathroom. She left 2 Lindt chocolates for us with bottles of water. Lindt’s white chooclate has now become Andy’s new chocolate addiction [after me of course ;-)] loll
Hoboken was a blast. We visited Carlo’s “The Cake Boss” Bakery and their cake was truly delicious. The customer service was also excellent. Washington St.? Is a food lover's heaven. As we walked down the entire strip, all we could say was this is truly get fat central. There were tons of restaurants, bakeries and eateries. There is literally something for everyone (except for some Caribbean spots) They also had a few nice spots for shopping depending on your interest. We took tons of pics throughout the neighborhood and embraced our inner model sides.

All in all, April was definitely a blast and full of firsts.
Xoxo
